Amy Fernald, MS OTR/L
M.S. Occupational Therapy
Amy received her undergraduate degree at the University of New England in Health Science in 2003 and her Masters degree of Science in Occupational Therapy at the University of New England in 2004. She has worked at Tall Pines Rehabilitation and Living Center since 2004. She has joined Magnolia Outpatient Physical Therapy Services in 2023, previously known as Tall Pines Rehabilitation and Living in Belfast, ME. Amy has spent 20 years working in skilled nursing. She has helped change the lives of many people and families who have been affected by disabilities, chronic illness and acute illnesses. Amy enjoys traveling, walking and time spent with her family. -
Nick Black, PTA BS, AS
Physical Therapy Assistant
Nick received his Bachelor of Science from the University of Stirling in 2010 and his Associates degree from Northshore Community College in 2015 to become PTA. Nick has always enjoyed physiology and exercise and loves how effective exercise can be in the treatment of pathologies and improvement of quality of life. He has previously worked as a personal trainer at the YMCA but since 2015 has been a PTA at Tall Pines SNF and now Magnolia outpatient. Nick lives in Lincolnville with his wife and two children but is originally from Aberdeenshire, Scotland. Nick is experienced in a wide array of musculoskeletal conditions and pathologies including but not limited to, pre/post surgery, deconditioning, balance issues, respiratory issues, arthritis, headaches, ACL, rotator cuff tear/repairs and joint pain. He specializes in; massage, TPR, modalities, Kinesio taping and creating individualized exercise plans specific to each patient’s needs to ensure effective progress and outcomes. In Nick’s spare time he enjoys hiking, running, gardening, traveling and spending time with his family

Connie O'Brient, OT/L
Occupational Therapist
Connie received her B.S.O.T at Tufts University (Boston School of Occupational Therapy) in 1980. Connie has worked at Waldo County MSAD's 34, 56 and 3, Waldo County General Hospital, Lewis Bay Head Injury Center and Brockton multi-services Center Early Intervention Program. She has worked at Tall Pines Rehabilitation and Living Center since 2007. Connie has joined Magnolia Outpatient Physical Therapy Services in 2023, previously known as Tall Pines Rehabilitation and Living Center in Belfast, ME. She specializes in head injury and sensory integration. Connie has worked with a wide variety of people to help reach their highest potential while creating a relaxed and supportive environment. In her spare time Connie enjoys hiking, swimming, kayaking, painting and sewing.

Monica Sprowl
Rehab Coordinator
Monica Sprowl Monica grew up in the Belfast community. She began her career at The Residence at Tall Pines in Belfast, Maine in 2016 as the Office Manager and Rehabilitation Coordinator. She joined Magnolia Outpatient Therapy Services in 2023, previously known as The Residence at Tall Pines. Monica has assisted numerous families and residents during difficult times of transition in their lives. Her dedication and strong work ethic has changed the quality of life for many community members in the Belfast area. Monica enjoys her dogs, cooking and spending time with her family.
